PR Help for the COVID-19 Crisis

These are unprecedented times for everyone. For the PressFriendly team, it’s been an exhausting and fulfilling few weeks lining up coverage for our clients whose companies and efforts in the areas of telemedicine, remote work, small business financing, online education and e-commerce are seeing a natural spike in interest. We know we’re lucky to be sitting in our homes working while others are on the front lines of the pandemic and wanted to find a way that we could do more.

We’ve been encouraged and touched by the efforts we’ve seen on Nextdoor, Twitter and Facebook. We’re inspired by these ad hoc efforts within the community to raise money, build equipment and support medical efforts. These are not innovations from established companies, but rather citizens working together on projects to help and serve their communities. These are worthy, impactful efforts that need a media boost to amplify and enhance their potential for good.

We’ve decided that we want to help further promote these efforts by supporting them with pro bono media relations in two ways. One, we want to identify the projects that are worthy of a media boost; and two, we want to recruit other PR pros to help us get the media coverage these efforts need. Listed below are two forms, one for worthy projects and one for PR pros who want to help. If you have the time or resources to join us, we’d love your help. Let’s do this together.
